Networking-quest "Six Handshakes of IKEA" 2.0 (May, 13-26)
One of the most unusual and bold formats of this Talent Focus Week.
In 14 days the participants managed to solve many riddles about IKEA and
learned a lot of interesting facts about colleagues from all over the
country. To win this quest, they worked in teams with colleagues from
different parts of Russia.
Skype-excursion "Unknown CSC"
Participants learnt more about Customer Support Center and related
career possibilities. In a game they played an administrator role and
had to deal with interesting customers’ appeals by using different
ways of communication with them: phone calls, chats and social networks.
One of the most inspiring events of the year. The opening conference of
Talent Focus Week based on six TED-like talks of IKEA employees who have
prepared speeches about ideas and people who contribute to the development
and help to make an important step. 6 speakers, 60 spectators and more
than 200 thousand views in social media.
Board role-playing game "IKEA Evolution"
Board role-playing game in an exciting format presented the ways and
opportunities for development in the company. Each team rules one game
character (IKEA employee) with a set of professional and personal skills
and characteristics. The main goal is to bring him to the dream
job – target-position in IKEA.
Meeting "How I Screwed Up"
Discussion with colleagues built on videos "How I screwed up". What
mistakes have our colleagues made in their career? What ridiculous
situations have they got into? The participants also shared their own
stories of failures in a supportive and kind atmosphere.
Workshop "Development Plan: how to set up a personal navigator on
the way to a career goal"
In the two-hour workshop employees learned the best way to plan their
careers in IKEA and achieve specific professional goals.
Enable Change Online-marathon
Four stages of individual tasks for the development of the “Enable Change"
competence. Each task had a time frame within which participants had to
send the answer. Only those who made it, would be invited to participate
in the second stage, etc.
Quest "IKEA in 300 minutes"
Quest teams have gone through a fascinating educational route in IKEA
store in 300 minutes, which inspire us to look at the work of our
colleagues in a different angle and understand why we work this way.
Workshop “Job interview superstar”
After two hours of intensive work the participants learnt:
How is the process of selecting candidates for jobs
organized in IKEA?
What is the choice of the finalist based on?
Where to look for vacancies?
How to prepare for that big meeting with the recruiter
and your future manager?
Online-session "How Service Office works"
The participants learned more about the IKEA service office and
development opportunities at the country level. What is the business
effect of the Service office’s work? What experts and positions the
majority of IKEA co-workers don’t know about? Some employees from the
regions even visited Service office in person!
Individual 90-hour session with an experienced IKEA leader. Using the mix
of coaching and mentoring techniques and relying on their knowledge of the
company, consultants helped participants to find their way in the endless
sea of information and open opportunities in IKEA.
Board game "MULTIKEA"
Game about customers in a multi-channel environment, where there are many
ways to interact with IKEA. Participants were involved in a mix of team
discussions, blitzes and tasks that they solved in one minute using a

Visiting excursions to other departments of the store gave an
understanding what career opportunities there are, and where the results
of this department’s work are presented in the store. Also participants
had a chance to discover the secrets that most employees do not even
